The Silver Comet Trail starts in Smyrna, Georgia, which is just outside Atlanta, and runs for 61.5 miles all the way to the Georgia-Alabama border. There, it joins the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama. Together, these two trails provide more than 94 miles of uninterrupted, enjoyable paths to further explore.

This is the ideal spot for me and my family to visit in the afternoon to enjoy some biking or even running on the trails. There are remarkable areas for picnicking, birdwatching, or rollerblading, and we can also see interesting sights like the Brushy Mountain Tunnel and the amazing Pumpkinvine Creek Trestle bridge.

A peaceful outdoor experience just outside of Atlanta. Whether you want to bike, jog, or take a nice stroll, this trail offers something for everyone. You'll walk over beautiful bridges, explore the old Brushy Mountain Tunnel, and might even see a deer or hawk while you're out. If you need a snack, you can stop in Rockmart or Cedartown for a meal before continuing your journey.
